O&R will be starting a gas main replacement project on Highgate Ct. in the Village of Montebello on or about May 6, 2026, with our contractor, Riggs Distler. We wanted to provide advance notice and share additional details.
O&R will be trenching and replacing approximately 1200’ of 2” BS main and 4A main with 2” PLX main. This repair and replacement work is intended to strengthen and improve the overall reliability of the gas system. The project will involve trenching and installing new main and services along the following roads:
- Highgate Court (4 services)
- Sterling Forest Lane (7 services)
The work includes replacing 11 services, and all affected customers will be notified in advance to coordinate service replacement scheduling.
Work is expected to last 3-4 weeks, weather permitting.
Upon mobilization, the contractor will set up the appropriate work zone safety measures (e.g., signage, cones) in accordance with the NYS Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
