Passover Dumpster, Burn Permits, and Spring Cleanup
The Village will be providing a dumpster at the Dr. Jeffrey Oppenheim Community Center for the community’s Passover cleaning needs. The dumpster will be located in the parking lot from Monday, March 30th until Thursday, April 2nd at 12 noon. Please place only regular household waste in these bins, and no bulk items, electronics or hazardous waste. All items must be placed inside the dumpster!
Please do not place trash on the curb in front of your home if it is NOT YOUR TRASH COLLECTION DAY. This results in numerous complaints, violations, and animals disturbing the trash. Please be sensitive to all your neighbors. Let’s keep Montebello Beautiful!!
Any open burning or bonfires require a Burn Permit from the Village Fire Inspector; however, due to the NYS Open Burn Ban, they will not be issued at this time. You may bring your chametz to one of the following locations:
– Clark Park – 59 Campbell Avenue – Airmont, NY
– Saddle River Pool
– Willow Tree Park
– Manny Weldler Park – 148 West Maple – Monsey, NY
– Clover Stadium – 1 Phil Tisi Way – Pomona, NY
Also, please remember to safely walk along the roads, especially in the evenings:
- At night wear reflective gear.
- Walk on the side of the road facing traffic.
- Do not walk more than two abreast.
